Building Bridges Initiative

  • While every space we run is designed for Bridging and Belonging, the Bridging Bridges Initiative specifically works with groups that aren’t ready to come to a public event or would feel more comfortable coming to a smaller event first.
  • Building Bridges creates a free, accessible, psychologically safe oven space that invites these groups to experience the community oven in small groups so they feel safer and welcome in the general community.
  • These groups include: underserved youth groups, young families, newcomers, 2SLGBTQIA+ groups, food bank clients, unhoused groups, and various equity deserving groups (indigenous, African, people of colour etc.)
  • Past partners include: Community Health Boards, SchoolsPlus, Wolfville Summer Camps, County of Kings, Nova Scotia Health, Wolfville Baptist Church, Acadia University, various food banks, Town of Wolfville
  • Please contact us at 902-233-7258 or  email hello@frontstreetoven.ca if you have any questions
