Hello! We would love to invite you to an evening of food experimentation, learning, and fun at the community oven. Every Thursday night from 6:00-8:30pm, we will be hosting space at the oven to explore new foods cooked in a wood-fired oven, celebrate local produce, and develop local food skills! Each week will have a theme and we would love for you to join us when you can.

For Thursday, August 12th, from 6:00-8:30 pm, we are making flatbreads and pitas! Perfect for a summer picnic in the park.

We will provide the dough made from local heritage wheat to enjoy baking together.

We encourage you to bring dips, hummus, vegetables, or anything you’d love to eat with your flatbreads – the options are endless! Please also bring anything else you may need to enjoy a meal at the oven, including plates, bowls, knives and cutting boards if needed, a picnic blanket, etc.

This week there will only be 12 spots available to ensure there is enough space for everyone to try rolling out and baking their pitas. We invite you to pay what you can to help cover the costs of flour, wood, and of operating at the oven – or even to pay it forward and support someone else joining us for dinner.

These events are pay what you can cash donation at event. This week’s suggested donation is $5-$15 to cover different pita and flatbread ingredients and space rental.

Hope to see you this week!

Thanks,

Caroline & Duncan
