One of the blessings of the pandemic was writing this guide on how to Start a Community Oven. We wrote the guide to support the Bedford United Church to start their outdoor kitchen space, and as a guide for starting other community oven projects who could benefit from our extensive research and community development experience. This work was funded by the Edge Innovation Program of the United Church of Canada.

Adam Barnett and I (Duncan Ebata) spent many hours outlining how we got started with the Front Street Community Oven project in Wolfville and detailed steps of our approach and considerations for starting a community oven.
